The maker's sealed card
The coins and bars we sell are made by MMTC-PAMP. Each one is sealed in MMTC-PAMP's own tamper-evident card, printed with the metal's fineness (24K 999.9+ for gold, 999.9+ for silver) and the weight. The card is the maker's statement of what is inside it. The photographs on each product page show the piece and its card.
One item, the silver Lakshmi Ganesh Shankh pair, is shown without a card. Its product page says so, and each piece is stamped with its weight and fineness on the reverse.
The Lotus certificate card
The MMTC-PAMP Lotus gold bar and Lotus gold coin come in a certificate card that carries:
- the piece's own certificate number;
- the signature of the certified assayer; and
- a QR code you can scan to register the piece in your name with MMTC-PAMP.
Registration is MMTC-PAMP's service, run on its own terms. We do not see or hold the details you give it.
Your invoice
Every paid order has an invoice, which you can open and print from the order page in Orders. It describes each item with its HSN code (7118 for coins), the quantity and the price you paid, and carries our name, address and GSTIN. Once a GST rate is confirmed it is issued as a Tax Invoice, with the CGST and SGST or IGST shown separately.
Keep the invoice with the card. Together they are your record of what you bought, from whom and for how much, and they are what we ask for if you ever need to raise a claim with us.
Looking after the card
- Keep the piece sealed in its card. Opening it removes the maker's seal, which is the evidence of what is inside.
- Store it flat, dry and away from heat, and check the card when the parcel arrives. If the card or the parcel looks opened, do not accept it; see Shipping & Payment.
What we do not claim
We issue no certificate of our own, and we do not state that a piece carries a BIS hallmark or HUID unless its product page says so. The card and its printing are the maker's; the invoice is ours.
